Happy Monday, Cleanish Squad!  

For the past couple of months, I’ve been working on a new digital cookbook focusing on how to use Cleanish protein powder, which was very fun to make. I feel like I’m getting back into the groove of recipe creation and photography. It’s funny how you just need a break sometimes to gain a little perspective.

I wanted to share my Snickers Protein Smoothie with you today, which is one of my favorite recipes from the new Cleanish Protein eCookbook. Since testing it and taking photos of this recipe, I’ve personally made it another 10-15 times for myself, and I know my kids have made it at least 20 times lol. It tastes so much like a Snickers bar, it’s crazy!

Snickers Protein Smoothie

Makes 1 smoothie

Prep Time: 5 min / Cook Time: 1 min

Macros: 487 CAL / 33P / 35C / 28F

Ingredients

For The Smoothie:

3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk

1/4 cup plain full-fat Greek yogurt

1 tbsp peanut butter

½ tbsp cocoa powder

1 date

8-10 pieces of ice, as needed to thicken

½ tbsp roasted and lightly salted peanuts, chopped

For the Dark Chocolate Drizzle:

1 tbsp dark chocolate morsels (72% cacao or higher)

1 tsp coconut oil

Instructions

For The Smoothie:
  1. Add almond milk, greek yogurt, Chocolate Caramel Candy Bar Protein Powder, peanut butter, cocoa powder, date, and 8-10 pieces of ice to a kitchen blender.

  2. Blend everything until it’s very smooth.

  3. If too runny, add a few pieces of ice and reblend. If too thick, add 1-2 tbsp water or almond milk, and reblend. Repeat if necessary.

For The Dark Chocolate Drizzle:
  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate morsels and coconut oil.

  2. Heat in the microwave for 15-second intervals, stirring the chocolate between intervals, until melted. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate, as it will harden and clump.

  3. To serve, top the smoothie with the chopped peanuts and the dark chocolate drizzle.
