Cleanish Squad: Healthy Lattes

What I (Sometimes) Order at Starbucks...

Happy Monday, Cleanish Squad! 

Is it cold where you're at right now?  One of my favorite things during the colder months is to snuggle up in some cozy clothes and enjoy a hot drink.  My go-to is a simple coffee with a little half and half...I know - super boring lol.

I happened to stop at a Starbucks yesterday to order a hot drink to warm up as we watched the new "Luminous The Symphony of Us" fireworks show at Epcot (BTW the show is great, if you haven't seen it yet)...

There were so many people waiting in line to grab huge lattes and fraps, covered in whipped cream and sugary syrups.  It got me thinking about how so many people are addicted to sugar and, thus, Starbucks.

Believe it or not, I used to love Starbucks lattes.  My fave drink was a White Mocha Latte.  Yep...possibly the sweetest thing on the menu.  It has 53g added sugar and 18g fat.  I can't drink it nowadays because it's so dang sweet, and I know better now.

And I'm not even mad about it.

Starbucks has a really impressive brand, and they give you all the feels, but it's just not worth it, especially on a regular basis.  That high sugar content just tricks your brain into wanting more and more, and it's messes with your blood glucose levels like crazy. 

Luckily, I have a few clean-eating lattes to share with you that won't spike your blood sugar, but will satisfy your sweet tooth and keep you true to your goals.  

Of course, if you're like me and prefer a good quality black coffee, this one is my favorite :)
